You may already know by now that I was born in Romania in a big family—we are five sisters. I am the oldest. For various reasons, my sisters and I have spread out, and we are now living in different countries.
I have a sister who has lived for more than 20 years in Barcelona, one sister who lives in London, and two twin sisters who live in Bucharest. Sometimes, when I share about how spread we are, many think it's nice because we can visit each other in different countries, but in reality, it is very hard to have strong relationships at such a distance. You may know that saying: better a close neighbour than a brother (sister) far away. In any case, this is the situation, and it is what it is.
My sisters are all successful in their own rights. Ana in Barcelona is a pulmonary surgeon, Adriana in London is an accountant, and my twin sisters, Irina is a talented fashion designer and Iulia has also a Yoga and Pilates studio. I am close with them in different ways, and we keep in touch online - thank God for the internet!
In the February holiday, I took the children to meet their cousin Lucia in Barcelona, and that was an amazing experience! We hope to be able to meet with a few of us during Christmas in Romania - this is still to be concerned, but it would be wonderful!
