Whether you are a beginner or have exercised before, Pilates is a great way to become stronger and fitter.

 

Practicing Pilates gives muscle strength, flexibility, and more body control. Pilates significantly improves posture and increases lung capacity. The method requires concentration and time but the reward is certainly there! Once you have mastered the basics of Pilates, you will not easily lose them.

The goal of Pilates is to create a balancedstrong muscular system and a supple body. Overloaded muscles are relieved and neglected muscles are reactivated and strengthened. 

Pilates gives you the power to keep challenging yourself, in every lesson. It is a constant learning process, which keeps the method fun, and varied visible results keep motivating.

By practicing Pilates correctly you develop or improve the three important elements, namely flexibility, strength, and control. During this class, we focus on movements that strengthen your abdominal muscles and improve your posture. As a result of these classes, you will feel: - Stronger core muscles - Flexibility - Better posture - Stability - Increased flexibility - Balance - Relaxed mind - Overall physical fitness This class is suitable for both beginners and advanced students.

Lesson duration: 60 minutes

Location:Sports complex de Estafette, Nieuw-Vennep

When: Tuesday at 7 PM, Thursday at 7:30 PM, and Friday 9.30 am

Dive into an energetic "Abs and Booty" Pilates class specifically designed to activate and strengthen your core muscles and glutes. This dynamic session combines targeted exercises to define your abs and shape your glutes. During this class, you'll enjoy a variety of Pilates movements tailored to strengthen your core and create tighter, firmer glutes. 

Whether you're looking for a challenging workout to sculpt your abs and booty or simply want to experience the benefits of Pilates, this "Abs and Booty" class provides an effective and enjoyable way to strengthen and shape your body. Most frequently asked QUESTIONS when you practice Pilates

What is Pilates? Pilates is not just about good posture and strong abs. It's more than just exercise and can radically improve mental and emotional well-being. Pilates is essentially about re-educating your body and undoing any damage or compensatory movements your body has learned from years of abuse or lack of proper exercise! By repeatedly moving into certain corrective positions, our muscles begin to retain a memory of how they feel, and over time they will automatically adapt to that better pattern – without us having to think about it. This brings more balance to your body and prevents overload on muscles and joints - this causes less pain and gives you the feeling that you are stronger and more flexible.

Do I need to be fit or have some sports experience? No! There are no restrictions to start with Pilates. You can start at any age, any fitness level, any shape and size!! You are more than welcome in our lessons. Our Abs & Posture Pilates class is perfect for anyone who wants to work at a nice pace and get moving while reaping the benefits!! “A man is as young as his spine. How can Pilates help me? PiIates is great for the whole body: physically and mentally! Strength and conditioning, toning and posture correction, maintenance of healthy joints, mobility and stress relief. Pilates gives you an energetic feeling in body and mind.

What should I wear to a lesson? Just wear something you can move comfortably in. You can also wear Pilates socks, but with socks or bare feet it is also perfect!

What should I bring to class? We have mats here, but if you want you can bring your own. Also bring a towel to place on the mat (if you use our mat) and a water bottle to moisturize.

Will I notice changes immediately? Most people find that even a handful of sessions is enough to feel fitter and stronger. Our regulars will definitely say they notice the difference when they come back after missing a week or two of classes. As with any sport, you don't become a pro after 1 session, Pilates takes some practice to learn and as our understanding develops; we continue to improve and benefit. It's really worth persevering!
